Fantastic, WWII archive of a member of the American Red Cross. Including in the grouping are two pop up table displays. Both displays are in mint condition and have never been opened. Both are very dimensional and colorful as well. The first is by Raymond Morgan and is for the 1940 Red Cross membership drive measuring 14" X 22". The second is by the illustrator Bradshaw Crandell and is for the 1941 membership drive also measuring 14'  22'. Finally, an elaborate album that was assembled by two members of the Red Cross of Northern Ohio. There is over a hundred articles regarding the Red Cross from the years 1942 and 1943. Also in the album are several documents including one from a US Congressman Michael Kirwan. I assure you that you will be impressed with the album. I will not be able to do it justice in this listing.
The Second World War called upon the Red Cross to provide extensive services once again to the U.S. military, Allies, and civilian war victims. They enrolled more than 104,000 nurses for military service, prepared 27 million packages for American and Allied prisoners of war, and shipped over 300,000 tons of supplies overseas. At the military’s request, the Red Cross also initiated a national blood program that collected 13.3 million pints of blood for use by the armed forces.
