All cloth construction, chit measures approximately 12 1/2 X 5. The chit shows age but overall very attractive. It is a nice construction of multi-piece leather and has never been on a jacket.
The "Blood Chit" (Identification or Rescue Flags) displays a message aimed at the civilian population to aid the servicemen in the event they are shot down. They were typically worn on the back of flight jackets, although they were later sewn into the inside of the jackets. Typically a reward would be offered to help the downed flyer make it back safely to Allied lines. The rewards were commonly monetary.
Price: $250.00 USD (Sale Pending)
